Presents: Black Girl Magic Series revealed a project this month called “Black Girl Magic,” a six-part docu-series focused on the lives of six young women who come from different backgrounds, but share one common trait, black excellence.

The series will unravel throughout 2016 and will also include different rising black female directors for each episode.

During the first episode, which aired on the site March 1st, up-and-coming director Laurie Thomas showcases Sage Adams, an 18-year-old artist, activist and curator of @arthoecollective from Brooklyn, New York. She currently attends Howard University.
