As we told you earlier this week, Snapchat has released a new update for its users which includes a new option to watch videos and read news articles from some of the biggest media companies in the world such as CNN, ESPN, Vice and Yahoo.
While Snapchat was promoting their new offering, they failed to disclose publicly that they were getting rid of their “best friends” feature.
In case you’re not aware, this feature tells you who the top three friends you’ve messaged the most are when you click on your name under the Stories tab. If you click on another person’s name, you can also see who their top three messaging partners are as well.
Many fans of the app were not too happy to say so long to their “best friends” and it faced backlash on social media as BuzzFeed documented.
Well now, Snapchat’s CEO has announced on Twitter that the popular feature will be back in action soon.
